My Top Favorite Podcasts

Podcasts wooo! Some of you already know that I host a podcast called “The APEX Hour” where I interview our APEX guests after their talk at Southern Utah University. I have so much fun doing it and I love getting to know our guests in a more casual and personal way. One of the reasons I wanted to start my own podcast was that I am totally a fan of podcasts myself so I thought I would share with you my current favorites! They are constantly changing and I always find new gems so I will make sure to update this list!

1.  The Daily Dish – As if I don’t watch enough Bravo television haha! This is a podcast from Bravo about all their shows with exclusive interviews plus expert commentary and behind-the-scenes secrets straight from Bravo executives! It’s just a must for any Real Housewives fan and a great podcast for days when you just want to listen to something fun and light-hearted!!

2.  Design Matters with Debbie Millman – Debbie Millman is a writer, designer, educator and brand consultant. She does very cool interviews with other designers, writers, artists, curators and musicians. For me, I love to hear how artists in other fields think and create so this is perfect!

3.  Here’s the Thing with Alec Baldwin – If you enjoy great interviews, this is the podcast for you! I really like his guests and the way he interviews them. He’s talked to everyone from Justin Timberlake to Renee Fleming and his topics and ways he asks questions are always very interesting. I always learn something!

4. Pop Culture Happy Hour – I want to be on this show every week!! They chat about the latest movies, television shows, books, comics and music. I love the roundtable style discussion and all the things they talk about. It’s interesting to hear what the rest of the world thinks about current pop culture shows and movies!

5.  Radio West – KUER’s award-winning podcast that covers such cool things! It’s described as “conversations and stories that explore the way the world works” and it features conversations with authors, politicians, artists and others. The one about Genghis Khan hooked me and then I have stayed for many many others! An interesting blend of topics that are both Utah and non-Utah related!

Do you have any favorite podcasts? I’d love to hear your suggestions so I can add more awesome podcasts to my list!
