This week, I thought I would share the books that I am excited to check out in Kindle!
The first one is Digital Minimalism by Cal Newport. Thank you Todd Peterson for recommending it on Instagram! The book is all about choosing a focused life in a noisy world and I am fascinated by this topic. I am all about being super efficient through technology but also about appreciating the present moment, so I am really curious about this one!
The next book I want to read is Liferider: Heart, Body, Soul, and Life Beyond the Ocean by Laird Hamilton. If you know me well, you know that I love the ocean and surfing! Laird Hamilton is an amazing surfer and life guru and I wasn’t away that he had written a book so I’m really interested in that one!
I am also looking forward to reading the fiction book The Old Drift: A Novel by Namwali Serpell. NPR described it as “a story that intertwines strangers into families, which we’ll follow for a century, magic into everyday moments, and the story of a nation, Zambia.” It got a lot of other great reviews so I am excited to start reading it!
Another famous book is The Botany of Desire: A Plant’s-Eye View of the World by Michael Pollan. He presents case studies that mirror four types of human desires that are reflected in the way that we selectively grow, breed, and genetically engineer our plants. There is also a Netflix documentary based on this novel!
Have you read any of those books? Let me know if you have any recommendations I should add to my list!

“The monk who sold his Ferrari” is a great book on the values of life.
Thanks Jens! I’ll check it out!
Digital Minimalism is on my list too! I have heard excellent things about it. The Botany of Desire piqued my interest – I think I will add it to my list.
Great Alonso! Hope you are well! Thinking of you!
